Alrighty, I figured this warranted attention. Not only because I play North Korea, but also because I think we need to be aware on what's happening in that part of the world, why it's happening, and what had caused it in the first place. I aim for this roleplay to reveal the start of this tension between the two Koreas, to show where it had come from, and why they are doing this today. And possibly, show if there will be hope for peace... Or if another war will break out.[/size]
I will be wiling to help with historical references. I have studied the Korean history extensively, and while I may not know all the smallest details, I do know the general picture and some very specific facts that we may need. Also, I am updating the North vs. South Korean news board everyday, so we may refer to those as well for reference on what roleplay we can do.
If everybody in this list agrees, we can either do a cbox roleplay and just post it up on the cbox tales, or we can do a thread on the forum, or we can do both. Either way, I just think it's about high time we got ourselves aware on why the tension in the Korean Peninsula is so great. It doesn't have to be a big or a long term plot. I just really want to do this because... Well, it's been gripping on my mind for the past few days as I get to know more and more about the Korean tension. I just want to get it out of my head, to convey to you all what North Korea is currently feeling and why he's doing the things he's doing.Time period:
1945-current
Edit:The roleplay itself will be divided into five parts, no matter how we choose to do it:1904-1944: {Imperialism Begins}
Russia and Japan fighting for dominance in the Korean Peninsula, which led to the Russo-Japanese War, and which eventually led to the Japanese occupation in 1910. This part doesn't need to be detailed or comprehensive; the only really important thing in this time period is WHY dividing the Korean Peninsula at the 13th parallel paved the way for impossible reunification.
