She'd decided to pay NASA a visit, curious about the things that went on behind the scenes. Little Virginia had been quite the quiet little thing lately, not really too active outside visiting her 'papa', and just sitting around her house and doing…well, whatever Ginny did on the days when she wasn't wandering her capitol, or the streets of Alexandria. So she'd decided to take some tours today. Play the game of a normal tourist, not the young State that she was. Her black hair had been let down. Rather than its usual messy udo, it was straight, falling around her head in a cute little style. Following some of the other tourists into the main building,. Today, she wasn't dressed in her telltale uniform, with the tie, nor were her headphones about her neck. She was dressed simply, in a white sundress, with a pair of ballet flats.
Following the group for only a moment, she found herself isolated, spotting a n astronaut shed seen in the Capitol once before. Moving over to him, she called him by name, smiling that bright smile that was usually only given to her friends. Witty, light-hearted repatee was exchanged, as between old friends, though they were not so old. Well, she was….but no matter. It was nice to be able to talk with one of the men that she'd met not too terribly long ago. Tossing her hair a bit, something he said made her laugh. Watching him as they finished their banter, she turned looking at the video games. Of course, she barely noticed the boy with black hair and glasses until she lightly ran into him, falling back a step.
Brushing her clothing off, she looked up at the boy before her, and her face flushed a bit. Grinning a bit, she tucked a lock of her hair back, murmuring a quiet word, "I'm s-sorry……I didn't mean to run into you." Oh. He was cute. It was hard for her not to think that. With that messy hair and those glasses over his eyes. Well….

Smiling shyly at him, her eyes widened as he mentioned he'd give her a tour! Oh my god! That would be the best thing EVER. Ginny was so enamored of the idea. She'd come down from VA to watch Armstrong back when, and that much nearly slipped out of her mouth, "Oh my god! That would be so great. I've only been down here once and that was back when Ar…" Oh…shit. She couldn't tell him….He was probably just the director's son or something. Smiling at him again, she murmured, "I'm, she held out a hand, shifting a bit, "I'm Ginny….Er….Erin. Erin Virginia Northshire. But you can call me Ginny….Most of my family does."
This was totally not easy. He was like, her first real crush, and she had no idea how to act. Toying with her own black hair, she let her eyes meet his, "And d-don't worry about the whole running into each other thing. It happens…" Glancing over in the direction he was, she saw the astronaut she'd just been speaking with smiling at the two of him. Giving him a little wave, she giggled as he waved back. God, he was such a nice guy. She really was happy to be here. It was why she loved being here in NASA. People knew her so well. Well, some people did.

[/b] He wondered if he should tell her that he was the personification of the city of Houston, then again, not many kids had Houston for a middle name. Once more, he put those needless thoughts of his mind as he turned and started towards the door that lead out of the facility. He was sure she would follow him since she wanted to have a tour of the place after all. Sam actually found that he wanted her to follow him and he had been glad she accepted the tour. He wanted to get to know her more, to get to know what she liked and what she didn't, which was, one again, strange to the teenager. Most of the time, he didn't care what girls liked and least of all, cared if they liked any of the same things he did. What made her so different anyways. He reached the golf cart and sat down, waiting.[/ul]

Hou....Houston. The name tested itself in her mind, and her gears began to turn as she followed him. Looking around, studying each and every thing that they passed. Ginny found her mind mulling over what he might be thinking. Of her....Of how she looked. Why was she worrying about that? She'd never worried about what a boy thought of her before. Smoothing out a bit of her black hair, she smiled at him. Once alone, she canted her head to the side, asking softly, "Houston...so...like..." Taking a breath, she thought of how to best word this, "You're....THE Houston right? SOrt of like how I'm...Virginia?"
Oh god, she hoped she hadn't sounded stupid. Climbing into the golf cart beside him, she crossed her ankles, toying shyly with the cord of her headphones. She didn't want to make this WEIRD or anything, but felt like she was being such a silly person, "I've been here before....You know....Just...a reaaaaaly long time ago." She didn't look that old, and Ginny knew it, but remembering her last time here was a fond thing, and momentarily distracted her from the fact that she couldn't stop glancing at him. What was WRONG with her?
