Now Arkady had been prone to wander since he was old enough to stand on his own two feet. Sometimes, however, the subject of his wanderings often ended him up in less than pleasant situations, such as the one he'd currently managed to land himself in. Blue eyes were wide in surprise as he was confronted with some random police-like man. Staring at him, the boy smiled innocently, and his silver hair had been cut loose, falling about his shoulders in a wild mess. Tipping his head, he heard something whispering in his head, one of many voices...
/Kill him too...He's going to hurt you/ Arkady Vasily Braginsky wasn't a bad boy, oh no. Even covered in blood as he was, with a bunch of bodies behind him? He still looked innocent and sweet, so lost by the fact that this man was angry with him. He'd done nothing wrong. He'd been defending himself...listening to the voices that seemed to come from all around. So, when the idea of killing this man came to his mind, it hurt...up until the thought of a new doll came along. Then, the boy's entire 6'4" body slid forwards, and with a sick snap cracked the man's neck.
It was obvious he wasn't scared, for as soon as he was done, the Russian sat on the ground, and began to play, moving jaws to make them 'talk', dragging bodies this way and that, like a giant playset. It was a sight, morbid and gruesome, and yet to those who knew cases like his, not so unusual. The frozen tundras could have this effect on people....especially young Siberia.

[/b] The dog gave a soft growl in disagreement but he could do nothing else as his master moved forward. His ears dropping, Erebus followed after her, determined to make sure nothing brought her any harm. Seeing the man standing among the dead bodies, Dacina felt her body tense. She was readying herself for a fight until the way the man was acting with the bodies brought a confused look to her face. He seemed to be moving the mouths of the bodies, making them talk to one another and then moving them around as if they were giant dolls. Her eyes scanned the young man more fully and she say the silver hair and those blue eyes, though not the same color as that one man, she could almost tell whom he was related to in some way. She would have turned away and left him to his own business, but something about this young boy called out to her. Was this how her Dorianus could have turned out if she had been negligent of him? She found herself grateful for that, but this poor boy had been left alone for so long, there was no way she could turn her back on him, no matter whom he was related too. She moved forward slowly, not wanting to scare him as she walked. A soft smile formed upon her full red lips as she neared him, stopping a few feet away from him. "You have quite the collection there." She had figured that speaking about his dolls would start a conversation with the young man. She made sure her voice sounded soft and sweet to him, and she also made sure that she didn't look intimidating. She had to make sure that Erebus had stayed back behind her, not wanting any harm to come to him, nor for him to scare the young man either. "You must have been working for quite a long time to get that many dolls."Translation: Come, Erebus, Lets see what made that noise.[/ul]

The last thing that Arkady had expected was a woman. A real woman coming to talk to him. Looking up at her with those blue eyes, as she commented on his collection, the boy remained seated, cradling a man's body like a baby, "They asked me to...so I go more..." Was the immediate response. She was pretty....and something about her...was familiar. Not in the 'oh I've met you' way, but...in a way he couldn't pinpoint. Looking back down to his 'doll', he looked sad, "I don;t like it when they stop moving, but that's all there is up in the cold....It's lonely there." It was what the fate of most of the Siberian's visitors ended up being. Be they human or animal.
The dog at her side had the childish boy's eyes lighting up, and he crowed eagerly, "A doggie that moves!" His sight was very good, and he stood to his full height as he saw the creature, "Tried to bring home birdies and dogs...they were all dolls and too cold by the time poor Arkady came home...no friends ever want to stay with poor Arkady." Sighing softly, he seemed to cut that loss, and then look back to her expectantly. He'd offered his name after all. Would she extend the same courtesy? He hoped so! He liked knowing the names of people he met.
Even if they never stayed long....and he always ended up alone again...having friends for a moment was nice...and this one....she reminded him of something he'd long ago forgotten. Something he couldn't put a name to any more, a warm feeling from the distant past.

[/b] Though she found herself wondering this, having her own son who was not all together there anymore, she had been forced to know about mental diseases, she only knew what she needed to look up and she had come across some where you would heard voices in your mind, speaking to you, telling you to do things. His words about the cold, about the dolls stopping their movement seemed to wrench at Dacina's heart and she sighed softly, wondering what she could do to help this poor boy out. His sudden exclamation caused her eyes to open though she looked down at Erebus and smiled softly. She knelt down beside the wolf, letting her hand run over his body, this actions caused Erebus to calm down some, and she lifted her head to look at the him again. Arkady, that must have been his name, it was the only possible explanation after all. She smiled again and moved forward closer to him, holding her hand out to him for him to shake, if he so wished. "My name is Dacina. It is a pleasure to meet you Arkady."She glanced back at Erebus to make sure he was okay before she looked back at Arkady. "You've been alone a very long time, haven't you?" Once again she kept her voice soft and sweet as she spoke to him, more because she realized that was the best way to talk to him then anything else. With how he was acting, it was equivalent to that of a seven year old child, having had three kids of her own, she had seen all the different phases that children went through. She moved to sit down so that she could talk to him for a longer time, she wanted to get to know him more, to know what she could do to help him, so that he couldn't be completely alone anymore, no one deserved to be left alone.[/ul]

Dacina....Da....ci...na...Dacinadacina..." Repeating her name a few times, the Russian smiled brightly at her, watching the wolf with an intent fascination. Up...until she asked him if he'd been alone a long time. Blue eyes became bitter and hard, and his mouth pulled into a dark, fierce scowl. The memories were terrible, and the history even more so. Big brother Ivan, leaving him in the cold wasteland of Siberia, Alone, to deal with everything alone, with no family by his side. Damn, he hated, HATED Russia!
"STUPID BROTHER BRAGINSKY!" He shouted, eyes watering as he looked pleadingly at her, Brother Braginsky took little Arkady Vasily out to the snow. Took him to a small house, and told him to be a good boy. Only seven, was told to be a very good boy, and stay. So Arkady stayed and stayed. Always alone, no brother, no sister, no family. Even Papa of the Winter never stayed long....Arkady hates Brother so....hates him so much..." And now he got to fight the tears that threatened to roll down icy cheeks.
The fact that she was sitting with him, on his level, it made Arkady feel safer, more confident. Looking up at her, eyes pleading for something he didn't even know he wanted, the rather large 24 year old murmured something about warm feelings, and family, before he pulled the 'doll' from before back onto his lap, and began to move and contort the muscles of the face, not minding the blood in the least.

[/b] She gently moved her hand to run it softly through his hair, a soft and gentle smile forming upon her lips. "Arkady, are you hungry?" This question might have seemed to come out of nowhere, but she wanted to see what she could do to help him, if he was hungry, she could take him to her home and feed him, perhaps let him stay there for a while if he wished. It would also help her get to know him a bit better.[/ul]

When she moved, he barely paid attention, up until she gently touched his cheek. Honestly, it startled him at first. He wasn't used to touch, outside of the cold grasp of General Winter, and hadn't felt a human hand since his brother. It caused him to lean into it, his eyes closing as he seemed to visibly relax. Oh....so this was what it felt like to have a family...? Then another familiar word, sorry. Letting it repeat in head as she stroked his hair, he sighed in delight. What a peaceful feeling. What he wouldn't give to feel it forever.
"...Hungry?" Oh! Did he want food. Looking down at his stomach, he lifted up his shirt, revealing an all too thin body as he talked to his belly button, "Are you hungry?" Giggling in delight at the grumbling sound, he then looked back up to her, nodding in affirmation of her inquiry, "I think we are hungry. It made a funny noise." Pulling his shirt back down, he stood once more, curiously gazing at her, waiting for something else to happen.
She was so strange and new to him, with her blond hair and her wolf...Why she was nice to him, he didn't understand, but he would accept her for now...let her take him wherever and take care of him...he wanted to feel like.....a son.....or....even just like someone cared. So far? IT was a kind of nice feeling.

Canting his head to one side, silver hair graced a shoulder, tendrils brushing softly across it as his face contorted into his adorable, thoughtful expression. Favourite? Did he have a favourite food. That was an odd question. Food was food, and you ate what you could, right? Why would you be silly and make favourites? Those adorable baby blues met her eyes in utter confusion, "Why would he have favourite? Food is food, and Arkady doesn't get much of that eitherrr~ But eat what he can get, he will~" It went to show you what Arkady had come to be. Simply an existing being, who knew what it meant to be, and only be.
The only emotions he knew were fear, desperation, and loneliness, three emotions no child should have upon their psyche, so her kindness was not lost upon him. As a matter of fact, the small kindnesses that Dacina showed the poor young boy now were beginning to help him, as he reached shyly for her hand, wanting to go somewhere...safe, "....Take Arkady away from the dollies?" He asked, innocently. He wanted to go somewhere warm, where he wasn't hearing the voices echo about his head. He wanted to be somewhere he felt safe, and though he barely knew her, already the Siberian's mind had placed Dacina. Dacina had been chosen as his definition of Safe.
A mother figure in a life that had none. He was forming the attachments that would, for once in his life, allow him to begin shaping something besides the mind of a seven year old child. Something beyond innocence and naivety.

[/b] She laughed softly, gently taking his hand when he placed it into hers and she smiled softly at him, nodding her head, keeping all of her actions motherly. "I'm going to take you somewhere warm and safe Arkady. Somewhere you can eat and rest in peace darling, where you can be happy and safe."Dacina gently ran her fingers over his hand as she stared to walk giving a nod of her head towards Erebus. He moved ahead of them as she began to lead Arkady back towards her home, planning in her mind what she was going to fix for him, it seemed he would eat anything that she placed before him it seemed but she wanted to at least have it be something tasty that he would enjoy. After a long trek back through the snow they finally arrived at her home. She opened the door and let Arkady in before she entered behind him, Erebus shaking the snow out of his fur before running towards the living room and laying down in front of the fire. Dacina turned her head to look at Arkady as she lead him into the living room. "Just make yourself comfortable hun. I'll fix you some hot coca as well as some food."[/ul]
