This was it; the beginning of the end for mankind. It was dark, very dark outside and there was a stillness in the air. All the streets were dead, littered only with the occasional loose paper and dirt. There was of course blood stained everywhere, but would you expect anything less from a city overrun with zombies? Yes, that was the reason for the abandon town. Those who still resided in such a hell were already horrible monsters or were soon to be.
Among these survivors, there was a small group who had decided to band together and find a way to escape. They’d made it far in their quest, having been deep in zombie territory and slowly working their way out of the hell hole they were trapped in. They only had one final obstacle…a tall office building. If they could reach the top, they could be saved at last!
“Ok, here’s the plan, I’m going to run in there and start beating things to paste. Zoey , you start shooting down all of them and keep those smokers of me, got it?” The orders came from Bill, their leader. He was holding tight to his gun. He’d long run out of bullets, so this was all he could do till they found more. “Everyone else…just follow Zoey’s example and shoot stuff…and Louis…stay away from the pills ok? Others need the too…” His last words would fall on deft ears, as they always did. “Alright guys, let’s go!”
With his words, they burst into the building. AT=t first, there was nothing there to greet them but darkness and quiet. It didn’t take long for the zombies to appear, though and they put their well crafted plan into action. Surprisingly, it worked out well enough. A few times someone got barreled by a tank, but in the long run, they all came out of this first swarm alive. There was a door at the back of the room that lead to a flight of stairs and without even needing an order, they all headed straight for it.
The climb was a long one, and as they neared the top, they began to hear the faint sound of a girl crying. Bill looked around. “You guys hear that? Poor kid must be scared….” His eyes fell on a door on the next landing. Surmizing that’s where the noise was coming from, he hurried to it. Sure enough, the sobbing child must be behind the door, and Bill intended to help her.
“Bill…I don’t think you should….” Zoey was cautious, they’d been encountering this a lot. What would make this time any different from the countless times they’d been almost ripped to pieces?
Bill waved off her suspicions. “There’s a scared little girl in there! We’ve got to help her.” With that, he kicked the door in and ran in there. The others followed in an attempt to keep him safe, but there was no keeping any of them safe from the savage fury of the witch
“Oh skeida! I TOLD you Alfred!” Yelled a very annoyed Tino through his headset. “There are NEVER victims to save! I told you this about a hundred times!” True this may only be a game, but if the same mistakes tended to happen each level, it would grade on anyone’s nerves. “If we have to start all…. Voi vittu helvetti! Alfred, I’m going to kill you!” As he spoke, the screen flashed ‘Game Over’ and once that screen had passed, they were placed back at the start.
And thus, they started over once again, the third time that night, all thanks to the supposed ‘hero’.
(( A/N: Skeida= Shit; Voi vittu helvetti!= Oh fucking hell!
Also, I've never plaied L4D or L4D2 so um...just pretend it's accurate, ok? OTL ))
