Personality: Badass, snarky, and armed with a black sense of humor, Israel is not really someone one will take a liking to immediately; in fact, he might make someone hate him the first time he meets them. And he doesn't mind this, as he is a loner. Though, when one is patient enough to endure all the asshole-ness that he offers, one would find that deep down inside he is a sweet, caring guy. Except he doesn't want anyone to see this side of his, as he is not someone who easily trusts people. Those who are patient enough, though, to get an opportunity to be close to him and see this side are rewarded with extreme loyalty and care, not to mention great hospitality and enjoyable companionship.

Although on the outside he is short-tempered, reckless, always gets into trouble, has no regard for authority (except towards France and America), disrespectful, a smart-ass, and pretty much someone who seems like he always wants things done his way, all of these traits are, in reality, a defense mechanism. He is afraid of getting close to anyone, as he believes in the innate evilness that exists in all people. This is because of his experiences throughout history, since the ancient times up until now. He has the "why me?" outlook in life, as in his mind, he is always the one being tormented by everyone just because he is a Jew. Therefore, he has the attitude of "if people don't like me, then they won't try to get close to me." Hence, why he acts the way he does.

Due to his history and tragic past experiences, he trained himself without fail and has now become good in weapons and fighting, which is another one of his defense mechanisms. He reasons that the next time someone persecutes him and his people again, this time, he can fight for them. In addition to this, he is also very intelligent; not just in the way of coming up with comebacks and snarky comments against his opponent, but also intelligent with coming up with strategies. He is a fast-learner, and will pretty much take in anything that he sees done even just once.

His one (and possibly only) passion is reading, and he will pretty much take in anything, be it a novel or a textbook, but he really prefers militaristic/war history fiction novels, and can thus drift to another world once he's thoroughly engaged in the book. Another weird thing about him is that he doesn't offer explanations unless he's asked, so don't ever ask him questions that can be answered yes or no if one requires something explained. Chances are, he won't explain why he chose one or the other. He's direct to the point, and says only what needs to be said... unless, of course, he's making a snarky remark or an intelligent comeback at something someone said.

Appearance: Standing at about 5'7", Israel is pretty tall for a Middle Eastern guy. He has a strong jaw and a pointy nose, both of which distinguish him as a Jew, among other traits. In the way of clothes, he is not vain, as he throws on anything.

Relationships:

• France: Due to similar ideologies and being against Pan-arab nationalism, these two are good friends. There were times in history where they had a rocky relationship, but recently, they've gotten back to the point where Israel gets cocky due to the immense support France has for him.
  
• Germany: Even though they seem to have a good relationship and friendly connections to the rest of the world, Israel... holds a certain degree of bitterness for this man, due to what happened... that time. In fact, he is also quite intimidated by him, though he doesn't like showing this as he doesn't want to appear vulnerable. He respects the man, though one would never hear him vocalize this, ever. He doesn't exactly hate him, though... he's learned to be at least a little forgiving.
  
• Italy: He enjoys this man's culture, and appreciates the help he's given him. He's about one of the few he won't ever be a bastard with, since he respects him, and likes him as a person. Though not as for him as he is for America, he still doesn't hate the guy. They're friends, really good friends, but they're not exactly what one would call close. They're getting to that point, though.
  
• England: Again, one of those he has a good relationship with, in the eyes of the rest of the world. In reality, though, they don't really get along very much, since he holds a grudge against him for supporting Gaza's cause. Deep inside, he feels that he should probably be grateful for him since he was the one who established and appealed for his state in the first place since 1917, but his being for Gaza irks him to the point that he disregards this fact.
  
• America: He adores this man. Like, adores to the point he almost worships him. He's extremely grateful for all his assistance, and can sometimes get a little too cocky since the "super worldpower" is backing him up. He tries to act normally around him, really he does, but sometimes he can't help but put the man on a pedestal, almost. He really tries his best to flatter, impress, and praise the American, almost continually. In fact, he's almost like a stalker.
  
• Gaza Strip: His "charge". He's extremely controlling of her, and he hates it extremely when she talks to other people besides him. He doesn't want her interacting with other people too, except those that he specifically allowed. He doesn't respect her one bit, and treats her badly; he's been known to bomb her many times. He's like a controlling, abusive father towards her, basically.
