FaeriesandTeaplz: Scowling slightly to himself, Arthur stared out the window, watching the warm gold of the sun fade into the gray of twilight. Ideally, Eva would have been here an hour or more ago, and they'd already be on their way, but... Well, they still had time. Letting out a sigh, he stepped outside and closed the door behind him, leaning on the porch rail and watching as the world began shifting, changing, transforming into something beautiful. He glanced over at the glass on the small table, half-full of an almost-clear liquid that he knew would be sweet. The only thing he hoped for right now more than Eva's cooperation was that the driver that was to bring her out to his quiet, middle-of-nowhere country home didn't completely get lost. If they weren't there in the next ten minutes, he didn't know when his next opportunity would be for this.
ArgentinianTango: Tapping her foot more-or-less impatiently on the car floor below, her gaze kept on the quickly passing English countryside. She had wondered why Arthur had called her out here, let alone out of the blue like this. He had mentioned on the phone that since she had shown him her world, that he would show her his as long as it didn't involve his abismal cooking. She had to admit though...The countryside in England was beautiful, much unlike her own home which was filled with buildings, cars, and bustling with life. She would have to come here much more often under the guise of having business to do, though her superiors never tried to stop her when she wanted to leave anyway. Glancing forward when the country home came into view, she couldn't stop a small smile form as something fluttered in her chest. The car soon came to a stop in front of the porch, the driver getting out of the front and moved to her back side door to open it. Scooting out of the car, she gave the driver a nod in thanks before letting her eyes fall back on England. "Buenos noches Arthur, you wanted to see me about something, si?"
FaeriesandTeaplz: As soon as the car crested the small hill in the road, a bright grin split Arthur's features, though he pushed the expression back to a knowing smirk before the vehicle came to a stop. Grabbing the glass in one hand and going down the stairs to the driveway, he leaned back against the rail as he watched Eva gracefully disembark. "Glad you could make it on such short notice," he said calmly, though his face barely hid the bright, almost child-like grin, and his eyes sparked with enthusiasm and something like hope. "There are a few things I want to show you. You couldn't exactly call them everyday occurances, though..." he added with a glance at the almost eerily clear sky. After a moment's barest hesitation - he thought he did a pretty good job of hiding it, really - he held the glass out to her, the blue-ish hue of the drink showing brighter in the dimming twilight. "Drink this," he said before glancing at her feet. "And I really hope you have other shoes to wear. We're gonna be walking for a bit."
ArgentinianTango: She felt her brow raise when he tried to hide how enthusiastic he was, her face hiding her confusion, but her voice giving it away. "Of course I could come on short notice, not like I have much to do at home right now and besides...I make it a special case to come if you want me to come. What is it that you wanted to show me?" She asked, her eyes falling onto his to see the bright, almost child-like sparkle to them. It was so...Odd. He was always as pissy and unreasonable as they come, why the change? She glanced down at the glass when it was held out to her, brow raising even higher before looking back toward the Englishman. "What is this? And you say we're going to be walking...You had better not be some kind of poisoning axe murderer and hadn't told me."
FaeriesandTeaplz: He rolled his eyes slightly, undeterred. "Believe me, Eva," he began, "if I was a 'poisoning axe murderer,' you would've been one of the first to go." He continued holding the drink out to her. "Come on, we don't have all night," he added, grin breaking out on his features despite his best efforts to keep it hidden.
ArgentinianTango: "....." She looked back at the drink then back at England, the grin unnerving her a little bit...As well as throwing her off of her usual defense. Usually such a thing wouldn't make her react, in particular when it drew such mixed and conflicting emotions. "Very charming mi puta, did you come up with that one on your own or did you have someone write it for you?" Oh well. If it was poison, at least she would go in the countryside. Taking the cup and drawing it to her lips, her eyes closed as she felt the smooth liquid fall down her throat. It was sweet on the tongue, very sweet. The taste...Reminding her much of dulche de leche back home. At least he was considerate if her ridiculous theory was true.
FaeriesandTeaplz: He let out a soft sigh, feeling himself relax slightly. Hurdle one - cleared. "It wasn't meant to be charming, birdie. Just honest." Taking the glass back and setting it on the railing of the porch, he looked at the last touch of pink in the clouds to the west. "....we'd best get going, if we're going to make it in time," he said, voice soft. He looked back at her, glancing at her feet again, then back up at her, one brow raised. "You won't make it far in those," he said simply. "The ground here is anything but even."
ArgentinianTango: "I figured as much, after all you really aren't much of a charmer. Where exactly are we going that we have to rush to get there, hm?" She asked, her voice quiet as well as her arms crossed underneath her chest. She was a bit skeptical about what exactly he had planned, but she wouldn't complain. Her brow rose at the final comment about her heels, sighing quietly. "The ground at home isn't much better Arthur, I'll make it just fine, thank you."
FaeriesandTeaplz: Turning to face her again, he shoved his hands in his pockets, looking up at her with a very subdued expression, compared to just a moment ago. "Look, I know this is going to be hard for you," he began, "but I need you to /try/ to not ask questions just yet. Alright?" And, approaching hurdle two. This one should be fun...
ArgentinianTango: Looking more confused at the mention of not asking questions, she felt a brow raise. "And why may I ask shouldn't I ask questions, hm? Or is it so hard for you to explain to me or you think I won't be able to understand what you have to show me regardless."
FaeriesandTeaplz: Letting out a soft sigh, he rubbed at the bridge of his nose, not yet walking. "If you ask questions at this point," he said quietly, feeling the first bubbles of frustration rise and keeping the feeling of his heart dropping through his stomach from his expression, "I couldn't possibly answer them. There is no way anyone can possibly explain this... It just... /is/."
ArgentinianTango: She felt her brow raise even higher, arms crossing under her chest more-so out of frustration herself. "So you can't explain it then Arthur? Very well then...I'll be a good little girl and listen to you this time."
FaeriesandTeaplz: Arthur felt a muscle under his right eye twitch slightly. Eva didn't seem to realize what a big deal this really was to him. Honestly, he'd been waiting for months for an opportunity for this... "...well, I appreciate that," he said, sounding less sincere than he felt. He jerked his head to the side, towards the woods, and started walking, picking up the coat he had left hanging over the porch banister as he passed. "Come on, then. We need to hurry."
ArgentinianTango: "...Hmm..." She murmured, more under her breath as she followed with her heels quietly clicking against the ground below. What was it exactly that he was in such a rush to get too in order for her to see whatever he wanted her to see? Her eyes followed in the direction that he was walking too...The woods? Well then, it would appear as though her theory wasn't so far-fetched after all.
FaeriesandTeaplz: Arthur's steps were all but silent on the ancient stone pathway as he walked briskly, and completely soundless on the soft ground as they got farther from the house. It had been years since he had been out here... and years more since he had desired to bring anyone with him. He stared up at the sky as he walked for a few paces. It was almost eerily clear in the cool air, stars bright in the east and just beginning to show in the west, the moon hanging heavy above the trees. The would make it in time, he was sure... but he still had a sense of urgency about him. Shortly, that bright orb would be the only light they had... Not that /he/ needed it, though. Despite the time, England knew he could find his way back here blind and deaf, feet and heart following the familiar path.
ArgentinianTango: Though she would never admit it, Evita was having a little trouble seeing in the dark. It had been she didn't know how many years it had been since she had nothing to count on but the moon and starlight to follow to find her path in the night, not since her days on the seas. Dark garnet eyes fell up to the full moon hanging above the trees, feeling the cool breeze brush against her face. It felt as though tiny hands were pushing at the small of her back, her eyes drooping to half-lid. Spirits lived in this forest. "...Much like home..." She whispered to herself, hearing the soft clack of her heels against the stone beneath her feet.
FaeriesandTeaplz: Crossing ground that hadn't been tread in years, England watched his feet, his practiced night eyes finding each of the footholds on his way quickly, almost instinctively. Reaching the bottom of a small, stony slope, he looked back up at Eva with a very slight smirk. "I thought you said the ground would be no problem for you," he called. His eyes caught the glow of a few early risers behind Eva - it almost looked as though they were encouraging her, pushing her forward. Well. Good to know his visitor wasn't unwelcome.
ArgentinianTango: Feeling her brow raise when she watched the other make his way down the slope, she looked down over the edge at England. Her eye gave a very slight, yet visible twitch at his comment. "And it won't be." Her tone was curt as she leaned downward to unstrap her heels before sliding her few out of them and taking off and pocketing her stockings. Dropping her heels to the bottom of the slope, she sat down and turned, foot reaching downward to find a foothold. Finding a hold and making her way on downward, her foot missed a hold as well as her grip losing it's grasp on the stone. Letting out a loud yelp, she fell the short way down only to fall ontop of the Englishman below.
FaeriesandTeaplz: Catching the falling heels easily, the Briton turned to watch Eva try to find her footing down the slope. Sooner than he expected, though, he saw her foot slip, throwing her balance and sending her tumbling down. Letting out a curse as she yelped (committing that sound to memory - he probably was /never/ going to hear that again), he immediately dropped the shoes and put his arms out to catch her. As she landed rather messily in his arms, he staggered and stumbled, barely keeping his own footing at the sudden weight, breath leaving his lungs in a huff. After a short moment, though, he gave her a very slight smirk, green eyes bright and almost glowing in the near-dark. "So much for that, then," he said, adjusting until he was holding Eva bridal-style and continuing down the path, eyes everywhere but on her or his feet. Even carrying both their weight now, they were making better time that they would have been with her walking - this path was easy to lose, now that the forest was around them, alive with lights that were tiny, but bright, so bright, and at the same time soft.
ArgentinianTango: Feeling her weight falling into what at least seemed to be waiting arms. her body shifted to at least try and help reshift balance so they both didn't fall. Hearing and feeling the loud huff against her side, she took a couple deep breaths in order to recatch her own. Her own eyes began to glow in the near light, the combination of the smirk and being carried caused her face to flush, for once she was thankful for the darkness to be able to hide how red she actually was. Curious eyes watched the tiny lights, eyes slowly beginning to widen. Not out of shock or confusion, but more out of wonder.
FaeriesandTeaplz: Noting the lack of response - or argument - England slowed to a pause in a small clearing, more of a wide spot in the path than anything. Adjusting slightly again, he brought her torso up, so that she was almost upright. "So you see them too?" he asked, voice quiet. As he watched, a tiny pixie, eyes wide and head tilted to the side curiously, approached them, giving him a glance and a tiny smile, hand covering her mouth with a laugh that he couldn't quite hear. Smiling back, he watched as the little creature turned back to the woman he was carrying, coming to hover just inches from her face, almost inspecting her.
ArgentinianTango: She truly couldn't believe what she was seeing, though she had to admit to herself...The sight was truly a beautiful one to behold. But, fairys. She was actually seeing fairys. So Arthur really wasn't a raving lunatic after all with all of his stories about magic and mythical creatures that she herself had pushed to the back of her mind as nothing more than just stories. "S-Si, I can see them. I...Don't believe it. All these years I thought you were just feeding me childish stories." She blinked slightly when the tiny fairy fluttered close to her face, eyes crossing to get a better look at it.
FaeriesandTeaplz: England smiled slightly, watching the look of wonder on her face. "Most people just call me crazy," he said quietly. At his words, the faerie turned back to him, looking absolutely crestfallen. She flew up to his face, ranting about something in a voice that his ears couldn't quite hear. Slightly regretting that his hands were occupied, he stretched his neck forward, nudging her tiny hands reassuringly. "I know, beag aon," he said softly to the pixie, a relaxed smile on his face. "It's alright, though..."
ArgentinianTango: "....I will be perfectly honest, pensé que estabas completamente loca." Her tone was quiet, but smooth as she spoke. Watching the fairy with slightly wide eyes, though remembering what kind of state she was in. "......" Glancing off to the side, she let out a small 'ahem' noise. "Arthur, you do know you can put me down now, si?" Though...She honestly didn't want to be set down. She was comfortable, exceedingly comfortable. It was nice to just be carried once in a while, to not have to be the strong, dominant woman that she was and always will be.
FaeriesandTeaplz: He let out a soft chuckle, starting to walk again. "I won't put you down just yet," he said. "We're not quite there... Besides, what gave you the impression I minded carrying you?" Rounding a turn, his eyes finally caught the soft orange glow down the path, a bright bonfire in the clearing ahead. He knew there wouldn't be anything there just yet... and nothing would come, if not bidden... but he proceeded anyways.
ArgentinianTango: She didn't answer for a few seconds, chewing at the inside of her cheek. It wasn't as though she thought that he minded, and truthfully nor did she. "Who said that I thought that you didn't mind it?" Her tone remained calm and quiet, her gaze falling toward the soft, glowing orange light at the end of the path. "I can walk on my own."
FaeriesandTeaplz: He paused on the path, still far enough from the warm clearing ahead that they couldn't quite see the area. "Then the question is this," he said, looking down at her with warmth in his green eyes. "Do you /want/ to walk?" he asked, tone slightly more serious than he would have liked.
ArgentinianTango: She blinked, a little more stunned at actually being asked. Usually he actually would just do as she asked and put her down, though not this time which she actually did appreciate. The look in his eyes caused something to flutter in her stomach, feeling the heat slowly beginning to rise again in her cheeks. "...Not particurally, no."
FaeriesandTeaplz: "Then you don't have to," he responded, smiling down at her for a brief - too brief, he was tempted to say - moment before beginning to walk again. "We're almost there," he promised, steps sure as they proceeded down the path.
ArgentinianTango: "....." She let herself fall quiet, her body slowly beginning to untense itself in his arms and let the calmness of the area wash through her. Without even realizing what she was doing, her head thunked softly on his chest as her side snuggled closer against him in his arms. It had been a long time since she had felt this comfortable, last time she had...It was also in the arms of the same Englishman.
FaeriesandTeaplz: As he felt Eva physically relax against him, he tightened his arms around her slightly, holding her to him, his left hand almost cradling her against him as his right held her legs beneath the knee, mindful of her feet as the path narrowed and several small pairs of hands pulled the overgrown folliage out of the way, almost creating a doorway. He stepped over the stone 'threshold,' feeling a deep calm settle in him as he entered the circle. He took a few careful steps to one side, along the perimeter of stones, and sat with the Argentinian he was far too comfortable with essentially in his lap. He made no real effort to hold her, however, though he didn't push her away, the arm around her shoulders holding gently even though he released her legs. "This is it," he said, voice just above a whisper as he looked around before he let his eyes rest on the small fire in the middle of the clearing. It was nothing particularly spectacular, he knew, but... well, this place had always felt more like home than anywhere else. The soft blue and green and golden lights that almost floated across the clearing were one of the reasons for that.
ArgentinianTango: Resting her back against his chest when the two sat down and crossing her ankles around each other. Her eyes watched the fire dancing in the pit, as well as the soft lights that illuminated the night sky with the soft glow of the moonlight. What a beautiful sight this was, she had never seen anything like this before. Feeling his chin on the top of her head, she let a small and content smile form. Something in her stomach fell as though it were...Floating as she rested against the Englishman that she too was far to comfortable with. "This really is very beautiful Arthur...I really am happy that you were comfortable and trust me enough to show me something like this. So...Thank you." Her voice was no louder than a whisper, but the tone was one of complete contentment. There was no other place that she would rather be.
FaeriesandTeaplz: "I'm glad you trusted me enough to go along with apparent crazy-talk," he responded, wrapping his arms around her shoulders and laying his chin on her shoulder with a soft smile, his voice holding the same quiet contentment as he heard in hers. ".....I came here a lot, when I was young..." he said idly. He couldn't put words to it, and he wouldn't try to, but he just felt so comfortable here, so... natural... unforced... With anyone else, he... Well, he wouldn't have brought them here, but he especially wouldn't be so lax in his comments. He just couldn't find it in him to think of a good reason to be guarded at the moment.
ArgentinianTango: "And why wouldn't I trust you Arthur?" She asked, tone keeping it's quietness and lacking the smooth edge that it usually had. Feeling his chin on her shoulder, she let the side of her head rest on his. "This place reminds me of a place that I used to go too a lot back home when I was young, back when there were no cities or anything like that. It feels...The same. The very same as that place..." She couldn't begin to describe just how comfortable she actually was with this particular man. She didn't have to hold back, didn't have to put up any walls or barriers. It was the same when they first met, to her...Had been ever sense.
FaeriesandTeaplz: He nodded slightly, gaze slipping quietly across the clearing, noting that the number of faerie lights had grown. "It's a quiet place... safe... protected... The spirits of the land, and the forest, and the water... they all come here for that very reason... It's the same, in your land... Even though you've never seen them, you felt them..." He turned to look up at her, chin still on her shoulder. "Am I right?" he asked with a slight smile.
ArgentinianTango: She gave a slow nod in response, eyes flickering in the light of the dancing fire. Eva watched at the lights grew in numbers, floating and fluttering around the clearing and the fire. "...Si...I think you're right. Mi abuelo had always told me stories about the ancients and the world of the fae, though I had never seen them...I guess in the back of my mind, I guess I always knew they were there."
FaeriesandTeaplz: He nodded again. "They're everywhere, to anyone who wants to see them," he said quietly. He watched them still, watching them set into an undulating, flowing, swirling rhythm. He glanced up at the sky, at the moon that now appeared so far away, directly above them now. "They come here on the full moon," he said, voice dropped to a whisper. "When the sky is clear... they dance until moonset..."
ArgentinianTango: "I can see that.." She murmured quietly, watching the specs of light fly and twirl in a type of rhythm to a melody that they couldn't hear. "I can see why...I...Really am happy though that you brought me here and showed this to me, I truly am."
Faeriesandteaplz: Letting out a soft chuckle, England watched the look of wonder in her face for a long moment. "And I'm truly happy you came," he answered finally, pressing his lips softly to the hollow below her ear before returning to his previous position, resting his chin on her shoulder and leaning his head against hers gently.
ArgentinianTango: "...I honestly didn't know what to think when you asked me to rush here, I thought you were just going to gloat at me about something. But...I'm glad I did come. Really glad." Her voice remained the same quiet whisper, body giving a very slight involuntary shiver when she felt lips against the top of her neck. Letting her arm slip around the small of his waist, her head lightly nuzzled against his own as the watched the tiny lights continue with their dance.
Faeriesandteaplz: The warm smile in his eyes spread, pulling the corners of his mouth up slightly. "If I was going to gloat," he said in the same soft tone, "I would have gone to you, peata." Leaning back against the tree behind him, Arthur pulled Eva with him, his arms sliding up slightly until they rested almost under her bosom.
ArgentinianTango: "Hmm, that may be true though you can't blame me for thinking so mi puta." She felt a warm smile of her own form, glancing back at him when she felt his arms wrap around her waist and rest just under her chest. "What am I going to do with you, hmm?"
Faeriesandteaplz: He let out a soft chuckle, looking down at her from this angle. "There are far too many answers to that question, peata," he said softly. "For right now, though... I think just staying here will be enough.. don't you?"
ArgentinianTango: "...Hmm...I have to agree." Her voice kept its quiet softness to it, lightly shifting in his lap to get comfortable again. "Far to many answers that I'm sure that you would want to know about, si?"
Faeriesandteaplz: His smile quirked into a slight smirk for a brief moment as he let his arms re-settle around her, hands resting on Eva's stomach. "At some point, probably. Right now, I could honestly care less..." The words he didn't speak - the /I'm glad you're here/, and the /I wish you could stay/ - were the ones he really wanted her to hear, but couldn't say.
ArgentinianTango: "Me either.." Feeling her eyes slowly drift closed, she let her head rest underneath his chin as she snuggled up against him. "Thank you...For showing this to me. It really does mean a lot."
Faeriesandteaplz: Tightening his arms around her in a brief hug, he looked up at the sky, at the flickering stars and rising sparks and dancing fey. "I know it does, peata... I've been waiting for a chance to bring you here..."
ArgentinianTango: "How long have you been wanting to bring me here?" She asked, looking coyly over her shoulder at the other when he tightened his grip on her waist, lips curling into a small, genuine smile.
Faeriesandteaplz: ".....since the last time we had a clear sky in London," he answered quietly, looking down at her with a thoughtful look in his eyes. He looked back towards the sky, at the moon, which was clearing the western side of of the treeline in the clearing. "Since the last time I looked up in the city, and saw the stars, and I wished I was here instead of there... That's literally been years..."
ArgentinianTango: "...Years...." She murmured quietly, eyes cracking open. "I don't know how long it has been since I've seen the stars or the moon, the city is to bright back home to even think about seeing them. You are at least lucky that you are able to live in the country."
Faeriesandteaplz: He let out a soft sigh. "I /wish/ I could live out here, like I used to," he responded. "This is where I want to be... but I'm pretty well penned in the flat in London." He shifted slightly, sliding so that he was almost laying down, arms staying around Eva's waist as he stared up at the skies. "It's crowded there... and it stinks of iron."
ArgentinianTango: Resting comfortably on his chest and stomach, she also stared up at the night sky, her garnet eyes glowing cat-like in the light of the moon. "...Yes...It is the same back home. If anything, I want to be able to live by the sea. I know you of all people would understand that."
Faeriesandteaplz: He gave a slight nod and a wistful sigh. "Yeah... I definitely understand that..." he murmured. ".....I would still rather live in the forest, though... build a small house... with lots of windows... leave them wide open, for the breeze, and the sióga can come and go as they please..."
ArgentinianTango: "I don't see why you haven't yet." Tilting her head back to look up at him she let out a quiet sigh of her own. "You know in order to get things done you also need to break a few rules."
Faeriesandteaplz: He gave a short, soft laugh, eyes hardening slightly. "My leash is a lot shorter than yours, peata," he said softly. "Besides, if I run off to the lowlands, the only voice of common sense in the capitol leaves. I can't do that to my country, or my people."
ArgentinianTango: "I'm unfortunately in the same situation." She murmured quietly, eyes remaining on the moon. "Though the only time that my people have actually listened to me was with the Colonel.."
Faeriesandteaplz: England let out a soft sigh and closed his eyes. "I know that frustration..." he said softly. "...enough talk of that, though, hm?"
ArgentinianTango: "......" She gave a slow nod out agreement, rolling onto her stomach so her chest was pressed against his own. Crossing her arms and resting her chin on them, she let out another quiet murmur. "....I really don't want to ever have to leave.:"
Faeriesandteaplz: His smile was slow, and slightly sad, in his eyes. "Once upon a time, I didn't have to," he murmured. He brought a hand up to her cheek, brushing his thumb along her cheekbone gently. "Unfortunately, neither of us have that option anymore..."
ArgentinianTango: "....I unfortunately know." Her brows slightly began to furrow, lightly pressing her cheek against his hand. "I know we don't have that type of luxury anymore, though we could always make the best of it while we have the chance."
Faeriesandteaplz: "......" Giving a soft laugh and a smile, he leaned up slightly and pressed a soft kiss to the corner of her mouth. "I thought that's what we were doing," he said quietly.
ArgentinianTango: "You're right.." She let her small smile grow, leaning forward to slowly return the kiss while also wrapping her arms around his neck. "Just being here is enough."
Faeriesandteaplz: He leaned to meet her lips, pulling her up to look her evenly in the eye, dark emerald meeting garnet. "I'm glad you agree..." he whispered against her lips, smiling slightly.
ArgentinianTango: "And I do.." She whispered right back, leaning forward again to take his lips against her again. Her hands lightly began to clutch at the back of England's shirt, nails slightly digging into the bottom of the back of his neck.
FaeriesandTeaPLZ: Pressing back into the kiss, he rolled them carefully onto their sides, catching his hand under her thick, dark ringlets before pulling away slightly. He kept his hand beneath her head as he propped himself up on one elbow, staring into wide, unusually... /open/ ruby eyes. "Relax," he said quietly, brushing the hair back from her face with his other hand before planting it softly on the lawn on the other side of her. "You don't have to hold so tight... I'm not going anywhere..."
ArgentinianTango: "......" She didn't answer for a minute when they were rolled to their sides, her dark eyes not holding any sort of barriers or walls now. Her fingers continued to clutch at the back of his jacket, scooting closer against him before speaking in a quiet whisper. "...How do I know you won't?"
FaeriesandTeaPLZ: "......" England slowly wrapped his arms around her frame, sensing for the first time how vulnerable she was. Eyes clenching shut, he buried his face in her neck, trying to remember the ancient invocation he hadn't hardly thought of in decades. "Know by this," he answered finally, voice a thick whisper. "Coill cuimhneoidh se focal mo," he murmured against her throat, the words catching the attention of the fey closest to them, drawing them near to hear the vow. "Geallaim usa fágfaidh mé chan go anois... Anois... I am yours..." ("I swear that, right now, I will not leave you.")
ArgentinianTango: Despite not even knowing what he said until the final three words...I am yours. Feeling her eyes close as the remnant of a warm tear rolled down her cheek, her body pressed more firmly against his own. For the first time, she felt full and complete trust for someone. Something burned and fluttered in the pit of her stomach, her face burying in his hair before she spoke in a very quiet whisper; her accent becoming more apparent. "Gracias...Gracias mi a-...."
FaeriesandTeaPLZ: Hearing the sincerity, the almost-desperation in her voice, Arthur smoothed his hand over her hair, holding her tightly against him. He silently turned his head to face her, softly kissing the tear-streak on her cheek. 'Don't thank me,' he wanted to say... And please, please, in the name of any God that existed and all the nymphs and hearts of the woods, don't say that word, that one word that would be known in any language... Whatever he felt right now, he had sworn another oath, in this very grove, so long ago it felt like lifetimes... yet he hadn't forgotten... and neither had the fey.. the tiny creatures that seemed harmless and mischeivious, but would take bitter vengeance on those who took their presence and powers lightly, or those who discounted their long, long, millenia-long memories. He had never roused that dark, powerful anger, and never would - his heart was in that vow all those years ago, as much as it was in the one he had taken now.
ArgentinianTango: She just laid there, remaining silent as she felt her eyes close and just letting herself be held. She didn't know why she stopped herself from saying the one word that she had wanted for so long to actually say, even though then was the ideal time to do so...She just couldn't despite how she actually felt. She couldn't let herself get her heart wrapped in another again, not after the many, many years of disappointment and heartbreak. She at times cursed being a woman, especially being a woman bearing the weight of being a nation. Because of what she is, she had to work harder to be taken seriously, to be respected. When her work finally paid off was in the days , however her work only fell to the way-side again. Despite how much she wanted to say those three words...The words that continued to ring in her ears, she couldn't bring herself to say them. She would only end up being hurt again.
FaeriesandTeaPLZ: Closing his eyes against himself, to feel hidden from the bright, endlessly deep eyes around them that he was so aware of, he pressed his lips softly to her eyelids, her cheekbones, her jawline, lips nose. Right now, he didn't know what else to do... and any words he could say would fall flat, dull, somehow cheapen this, make it mean less... So, as the sky began to lighten and gray in the east, beyond where they could see, he just held her in silence, forehead pressed against hers and watching her face, its normal sharpness and edge gone, with an almost melancholic look.
ArgentinianTango: Feeling lips fluttering across her face as well as his forehead resting on her own, she appreciated the silence. Talk was cheap, could only lead to hollow promises and cruel falsities. Scooting downward slightly, her face buried in the crook of his neck as her fingers lightly clung to the front of his shirt. Her breathing began to even again, her body slowing turning slack as though she was just going to let herself take the rare comfort and sleep peacefully while she could.
FaeriesandTeaPLZ: Resting his chin on the top of her head with a quiet sigh, he felt her relax against him. One hand threaded into her hair, gently massaging her scalp, and one arm wrapped around her waist, he held her close to him, eyes closed. For a little while longer, at least, they had peace, and each other.
ArgentinianTango: Closed eyes slightly began to twitch when she felt fingers rubbing and massaging at her head, a quiet, yet still present purr began to emit from her mouth. Her legs drew upward, resting her top leg over his own. Peaceful, that's what this was...Peaceful, at least...For now.
FaeriesandTeaPLZ: On some level, England mourned this time. He realized that this may be the only time they are ever this open, or this /content/, and he knew that it wasn't just this place. He couldn't help but smile slightly, though, when he heard her quiet purr, and he slid comfortably into the new position, his top leg drawing up slightly and resting between hers, their thighs pressed together comfortably, and he let out a soft sigh. "Sleep, peata," he said softly, eyes closed and lazy. "Sleep, and I'll be here when you wake..."
ArgentinianTango: Feeling her body completely relaxing in his arms, she let out a quiet yawn before burying her face back in his neck. She mouthed at his adam's apple lazily, sleep threatening to completely overtake her. Before it did and despite not fully realizing what was coming from her mouth before she fell into a deep and comfortable sleep, she spoke in a very quiet, muffled whisper. "...Te amo...."
