November 3, 2010 Results of yesterday's elections are in, Republicans take control over the House of Representatives while the Democrats barely hung onto the Senate. Obama claims that the people are frustrated with the pace of economic recovery, which in turn led to a divided government. Republicans say they are going to do their best to repeal the "monstrosity" that is Obama's healthcare plan along with the Tea Party gaining power and their agenda to block and undo Obama's plans. In Washington D.C., there have been a string of shootings targeting military buildings. Targets include the U.S. Marine Corps. offices, the Pentagon, the U.S. Coast Guard Recruiting Station, and the National Museum of the Marine Corps. January 26, 2011 Sorry I've been bad and haven't been keeping this updated. ^^; Anyway, following President Obama's State of the Union address last night with a call for more spending, the Republicans immediately rallied in order to reject the President's plan. "In his speech to a joint session of Congress, Mr Obama outlined his plan for America to "win the future": significant spending - which he dubbed "investment" - on education, infrastructure, high-speed rail, broadband internet, clean energy and scientific research." -BBC What do y'all think on this issue?
