Personality: Due to being born in a cold place, Sweden's speech is limited to what sounds like grunts and huffs, so not a lot of people can understand him. He appears to be very intimidating and hard to approach, and has a menacing aura, but in reality, he really is just misunderstood. He is playful and cheerful in truth, though his problem is not knowing how to express it. He is not very good with words, or actions, or showing what he feels, therefore most nations misunderstood him as another scary man who would do harm to them.

Though he was very strong militarily and dominated Europe in the 17th century, Sweden has learned to give up his military ways and remain neutral in wars, though he still lent a helping hand to Iceland, Norway, and Germany during World War II. He seems to be very succesful and content at where he is, and would rather sit down at a bar with a tall mug of beer in his hand or be at home reading a book in his study rather than going out and conquering land.

Due to Denmark's bossy, egotistic way of ruling, he finally couldn't take it anymore and decided to pack up, leaving that robust, chaos-filled life behind. Following him not far behind was Finland, and they lived together and survived Europe's greatest powers by having each other at their side. Though he appears to be scary and controlling, he is actually very kind-hearted, only wanting Finland's comfort and safety, and nothing else.

And weirdly, though he doesn't speak much, he actually enjoys arguments and debates, which is why he enjoys attending World and European Union meetings. He doesn't speak up much, but he will offer his honest opinion when asked. He is the type of person who won't speak unless spoken to, and it is very hard to keep up a conversation with him as he doesn't offer much explanations in the way of anything. He is also not the type to butt in and put in what he knows if he knows he doesn't need to get involved in a situation, unless of course, it is Finland who is in trouble.

He is actually very helpful and willing to help prop up and solve any nation's problems, even though he doesn't look like it. He isn't the type to turn anyone who approaches him away, though if they even do is a matter in itself. All in all, he is a kind, generous, playful, and cheerful man, though his intimidating, gruff outside demeanor often leaves him misunderstood.

Appearance: Clad in a dark blue winter coat from head to toe, complete with a matching blue cap, Sweden is always impeccable and perfect in appearance. He is also one of two of the tallest of the nations, standing at 190 cm or about 6'2", two inches taller than Russia (reference here). He has light, blonde hair and piercing deep blue eyes always set in a threatening glare that could eat right through one's soul, even though he doesn't intend to come across that way.

Relationships:

• Finland: He refers to him as his "wife", and will do anything to make sure he is comfortable, and will go out of his way so that all of Finland's needs are taken care of. He is very precious to him, and is the only person he truly loves.
  
• Norway: His relationship with Norway is rocky at best, and while he doesn't hold any special feelings, or any kind of feeling for the other, he still seems to like having him around, as they both have the same personalities. They were in a union once, but that didn't really mean anything.
  
• Iceland: Like Norway, he treats him like a good aquaintance, though they are not extremely close. He doesn't mind his presence, though he doesn't mind it if he doesn't see him, either.
  
• Sealand: His adopted son, who he got from an auction on ebay. Though he doesn't seem to show it much, it is still evident that he treats him like a son and does truly love him like one.
  
• Denmark: He hates this guy. With a passion. Everything about him irks him to the point that he actually becomes loudmouthed and argumentative and won't hesitate to raise his voice and talk back whenever this Nordic is in sight.
  
• Germany: He seems to be on good relations with him, helping him some during World War II.
  
• Russia: He isn't too fond of this man, as he took Finland away to live with him at some point.
  
• Poland: When Poland and Lithuania were still living together as the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth, he was involved in a war with him called the Polish-Swedish wars. But again, as he didn't want to put Finland in an uncomfortable position because he thought about his friendship with Estonia, he stopped the war. They seem okay with each other.
  
• The Baltics: He got partial custody of Estonia and Latvia at one point because he thought Finland would like to be together with his friends more, much to the protest of Poland. Lithuania did the "transactions". >>
